Under 6’s On Monday September 21st our U6’s finished training in the hall AbbeyFeale for 2009 . We have had 15 eager girls coming training every Monday night since last April . Glantine Camogie Club would like to thank County secretary Olive Sheehan who has been training these girls all year ,and thank all the parents for bringing the girls along week in week out . The girls trained in doors for this year and learned all the basic skills necessary to move on to the big field in 2010 . A great evening was had by all afterwards with the girls and parents enjoying refreshments and all the girls receiving medals . Hope to see ye all back next year .
Under8’s 24 girls turned up for our last game of the season on Thursday September 24th in Templeglantine pitch . NCW travelled out to us on the night and we played a number of competitive matches , which all the girls enjoyed thoroughly . Medals and refreshments were enjoyed afterwards , thanks again to all the trainers and parents who have given of their time , throughout ’09 and we hope to see ye all next year . If we can keep these girls playing camogie the future will be bright for Glantine . And Girls don’t forget ye’re hurleys over the winter .
Started up again in 2005 after a lapse of 32 years. Oldest girl in the club 16 years. Over 70 members underage. A club to watch out for in the future!!!!!
