Limerick won the A Cup in the Annual Eileen Carmody Inter-County Blitz in Killeedy on Saturday for the first time beating Tipperary in a tightly fought high quality final. A great day for the Limerick girls saw our other team narrowly beaten by a single point in the C Cup which was held in Ballyagran.

U14 teams representing Clare, Galway, Cork, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Limerick took part in what is the first of a series of blitzes that will be held over the season culminating in the All-Ireland Blitz which takes place in Dublin on the eve of the All-Ireland Camogie Finals.

The other results saw Clare win the A Shield, Cork the B Cup and Kilkenny the C Cup. Many thanks to Olive Sheehan and all who helped organize the event to ensure that the event ran smoothly and to the Killeedy and Ballyagran clubs for making their facilities available, providing volunteers and making refreshments available for all.
